What is Mother's Cry?
Mother's cry is an initiative founded in May 2019 with support of several churches which aims at providing a well grounded environment for both a pregnant mother and her unborn child.
How does the Program Work?
We walk with the young mother every step of her pregnancy journey and continue with the mother and baby after the baby is born to ensure that both are well on their way to a healthy and bright future. We also invest long term into the welfare of the mother and child through faith building and support systems. However, some mothers may choose to place their babies up for adoption, which may be to members of our association (Ministry of Gender Equality, Churches and private sponsors). In this regard, we provide counselling pre and post adoption for the mother.
Will I be the only sponsor and How long will they receive sponsorship?
Yes, your sponsorship will be the only one for the chosen young mother and unborn baby. Therefore sponsorship is applicable for one year (12 months) for each young mother, however, depending on the situation may continue thereafter should they require extra care. Our goal, however, is to ensure that the mother has made a solid life plan for herself and her baby and that she has all the necessary resources to make good decisions for herself and the life of her child. Should you wish to withdraw your sponsorship at any time, then our members will work quickly to ensure she has another sponsor in order to receive the life-saving care they need.
